## Best practices

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Use good lighting" icon="sun">
    Well-lit subjects with clear contrast against their background produce the cleanest cutouts. Avoid underexposed or flat images where subject and background blend together.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Clear subject edges" icon="scan">
    Subjects with well-defined edges — products, people, objects — give the AI more to work with. Loose fabrics, hair, or transparent objects may need touch-up in a separate editor.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Avoid busy backgrounds" icon="layers">
    A cluttered background with colors similar to your subject (e.g., a person in front of a similarly-toned wall) is harder for the model to separate cleanly. A contrasting background improves accuracy.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Try different source crops" icon="crop">
    If the result clips part of your subject, try cropping out peripheral distractions before uploading. A tighter crop helps the model focus on the correct subject.

<Tip>For product photos, a white or neutral solid-color background in the source image consistently produces the cleanest transparent cutout.</Tip>
