# Upscale Images to Higher Resolutions

> Artnex's Image Upscaler uses AI to enlarge photos to 2K, 4K, or 8K without blurry or pixelated results — ideal for print, ads, and product photos.

The Image Upscaler enlarges your images to 2K, 4K, or 8K resolution using AI — without the blurry, pixelated results you get from traditional resizing. The model reconstructs fine detail so your image looks sharper at a larger size, not just stretched.

**Cost:** 100 credits per image.

## Navigate to Image Upscaler

Go to **Tools > Image > Image Upscaler** in the Artnex sidebar.

## Upscale an image

  <Step title="Upload your image">
    Click **Add Image** in the bottom control bar to select a file, or drag and drop it onto the canvas. Your image must be under 10 MB.

  <Step title="Choose a target resolution">
    Use the resolution selector in the control bar to pick your output size:

    | Option | Description                            |
    | ------ | -------------------------------------- |
    | **2K** | Good for web and digital use           |
    | **4K** | Recommended for most use cases         |
    | **8K** | Maximum quality for large-format print |

    The default is **4K**.

  <Step title="Choose an output format">
    Select **JPEG**, **PNG**, or **WebP** from the format dropdown. Use PNG if you need lossless output; JPEG or WebP for smaller file sizes.

  <Step title="Click Upscale">
    Click **Upscale ✦100** to start processing. A progress indicator appears while the model runs.

  <Step title="Download the result">
    When upscaling completes, the higher-resolution image appears in your Creations gallery. Hover over it and click the **download icon** to save.

<Note>The Image Upscaler uses a flat cost of 100 credits per image, regardless of which target resolution you choose.</Note>

## Common use cases

    Enlarge product images taken on a phone or in lower-resolution conditions to meet e-commerce platform requirements (typically 2000×2000 px or larger) without reshooting.

<Tip>Start with 4K. If you're preparing for large-format print (posters, billboards) or want maximum detail for further editing, choose 8K instead.</Tip>

<Warning>Very small source images (under \~200×200 px) may not upscale cleanly, as the AI has less detail to work from. Start with the highest-quality source you have.</Warning>
