Video Upscaler uses AI to increase the resolution of any video file — sharpening detail, reducing compression artefacts, and improving overall clarity. You can upscale footage to 720p, 1080p, 2K, or 4K. The tool processes your video frame by frame, so the result is a significantly improved version of the original without re-shooting. Go to Tools > Video > Video Upscaler in the Artnex sidebar.

How to upscale a video

1

Upload your video

Drag and drop a video file onto the upload zone, or click the zone to browse your files. The upscaler accepts any common video format (MP4, MOV, WebM) up to 500 MB and 10 minutes in length.
Once you select a file, a preview player appears so you can verify the correct clip before processing.
2

Choose a target resolution

Use the resolution dropdown in the control bar to select your output:
ResolutionCredit cost
720p60 credits / second
1080p90 credits / second
2K150 credits / second
4K240 credits / second
The estimated credit cost for your specific video is calculated automatically and shown next to the Upscale button.
3

Review the credit estimate

After the video loads, Artnex reads its duration and displays the total estimated credit cost based on the resolution you selected. Confirm this looks correct before proceeding.
Credits are billed at a per-second rate based on your video’s actual duration. A 60-second clip upscaled to 4K costs 14,400 credits (60 × 240). Make sure you have sufficient credits before starting.
4

Start upscaling

Click Upscale. Artnex first uploads your file to secure storage, then passes it to the AI upscaling pipeline. A progress bar tracks both the upload and the upscaling stages.
Upscaling time depends on the video length and the target resolution. A 1-minute clip at 4K typically takes 3–8 minutes to process.
5

Download the upscaled video

When processing is complete, the upscaled result appears on the page and in your My Creations gallery. Click the Download icon to save the file.

Credit costs

Credits are charged per second of video at the rate for the selected resolution. There is no flat per-job fee.
ResolutionCredits per secondExample: 30-second video
720p60 credits/sec1,800 credits
1080p90 credits/sec2,700 credits
2K150 credits/sec4,500 credits
4K240 credits/sec7,200 credits
The credit estimate shown in the UI is based on the video’s detected duration. If the duration cannot be read before upload, the estimate defaults to 5 seconds until the actual duration is confirmed.

Tips for best results

Start with the highest quality source file you have. Upscaling a heavily compressed or blurry video will improve resolution but cannot recover detail that was never recorded.
Use 1080p for most social and web publishing needs. 2K and 4K are best suited for large-screen display, professional delivery, or archival purposes.
